To fulfil our mission, Friends of Bolivia supports a number of projects, which are spread throughout the country (see our map). Details of the projects are available below.
The success of these projects has meant that we have been able to fund:
- the building of new classrooms for the school in Jupapina, Mallasa, La Paz that were severely damaged in the flood of February 2002
- the building of 15 homes for victims of earthquake in the rural area of Montecillos in 1998
- medical equipment
- equipment and tools for a small laboratory
- wheel chairs
- medicines
- food
- workshops for drug rehabilitation centres for children
- equipment such as stoves and ovens
- braille books and tools for the blind
- sheets, blankets, pots and pans, crockery, clothing
- salary for a community teacher
- school desks
- musical instruments for children
- the establishment of a permanent fund in the main children's hospital to cover costs which the parents are unable to fund

- Replacing and expanding neonatal equipment in the paediatric unit of the Hospital General San Juan de Dios in Oruro.
Past successes
- Following the 2002 flood in La Paz, we ran a flood appeal.
- The 1998 Cochabamba earthquake was a major project.
